Prenatal Paternity Test

prenatal paternity test

A paternity test can be done while the mother is pregnant. Paternity questions during pregnancy can be stressful. Our DNA paternity testing lab is the only accredited lab to perform the non-invasive prenatal paternity test with a strict chain-of-custody process. Our test gives you an accurate paternity answer without any risk to you or the pregnancy— it’s completely safe.

Who needs to be tested?

In a non-invasive prenatal DNA paternity test, the mother and the alleged father will be tested to determine whether the alleged father is the biological father of the child. The mother’s blood sample and the alleged father’s buccal swab sample will be collected to perform the paternity test.

How to initiate a DNA test?

To set up your DNA test with Advanced DNA, you can simply call 513-234-5678 and talk to one of our knowledgeable and caring DNA testing consultants. A dedicated case manager will be assigned to you and walk you through the testing process from the beginning to the end, including explaining your DNA testing results.

Schedule a DNA sample collection appointment

Once your case is set up with Advanced DNA and a small deposit is made, we will schedule a sample collection appointment with one of our 2,500 collection clinics in the U. S. and around the world. You will be able to pick a convenient place near your home or work and a time that works best for you. After we get the appointment information, we will call to confirm your availability. Our large DNA sample collection network also allows all tested parties to go for collection at different times and locations if needed.

Testing at the laboratory

After our laboratory receives all tested parties’ samples, your DNA test will begin. It takes only 7 working days for our laboratory to generate your prenatal DNA paternity testing results. Fetal DNA combines with the mother’s by passing into the mother’s bloodstream. The fetal DNA is isolated and analyzed during the testing process, and then compared to the possible father’s. After the raw data is generated, our experienced scientists will analyze the data and draw a conclusion on the biological relationships between tested parties.

Delivering results

Our DNA test report will be reviewed and signed by a PhD scientist after the raw data is analyzed. The report is also internally notarized to ensure its authenticity. After that, your report will be mailed to the address(es) you designate on the consent and ID form you sign at the collection appointment. You can then use this legally admissible DNA test report for legal matters, immigration, adoption or simply peace of mind.
